2.    Nature and purpose of the processing of personal data

The information you provide is recorded and stored in the FairFair GmbH database, as well as in the database of the exhibitor who invited you and the database of your publisher or other multipliers (if you have received a redemption code or guest card from them). The address details and company information are necessary to show the person who invited you your registration and your visit to the event. If you have expressly consented to the distribution of this information to the journal JOT (Journal für Oberflächentechnik), the publisher of JOT will also receive this information.

Please note that FairFair GmbH will use your data, including your company details, to stage the event and to send you (also by e-mail) information on related events.

You are entitled at any time to object to the use of your data for advertising purposes. If you wish to do so, please contact info@fairfair.de.  No additional costs will be incurred except for transmission according to basic tariffs.
Please note that if your data is deleted, any vouchers already registered will also be deleted and any printed e-tickets will no longer be accepted.

The collected data will be deleted as soon as its purpose has been fulfilled, unless other legal storage or documentation obligations pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit c of the German Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) exist, or unless you have consented to further storage in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

3.     Disclosure of data to third parties

Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties for purposes other than those listed above or to fulfil your contract.

4.     Rights concerned

You have the right:

in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, to revoke your consent once given to us at any time. However, this does mean that we will no longer be able to continue data processing based on this consent in the future;

in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you may request information about the purposes of the processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data have been or will be disclosed, the intended duration of storage, the existence of a right to rectify, delete, oppose or restrict processing, the existence of a right of appeal, as well as information about the origin of your data if not collected from you, the existence of an automated decision-making process, including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information on its details;

in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to demand the rectification of incorrect data or the completion
of your personal data stored with us without undue delay;

in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us unless processing is necessary in order to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;

in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you or if the processing is unlawful but you refuse to delete the data, we no longer require it and you need the data in order to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or, in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, you have filed an objection against it being processed;

in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data which you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another responsible person and;

in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, to complain to a supervisory authority.

5.     Right of objection

Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with
Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the
processing of your personal data if there are reasons for doing so which arise from your particular situation.
